Data Protection, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Dream Center Connect enforces rigorous data protection and disaster recovery standards to ensure community care services remain uninterrupted and sensitive constituent records remain confidential and secure against hardware failure, natural disaster, or network disruption.

Section titled “1. Service Continuity & Recovery Objectives”The platform is architected around strict operational recovery benchmarks:
| Standard | Guarantee | Operational Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Recovery Point Objective (RPO) | $\le$ 1 Hour | In the event of a catastrophic event, the maximum potential data loss window is less than one hour of activity. |
| Recovery Time Objective (RTO) | $\le$ 30 Minutes | Restoration protocols enable the platform to recover services and return to operational state within 30 minutes. |
| Data Durability | 99.999999999% (11 9s) | Secondary snapshots are distributed across geographically redundant storage facilities. |
2. Zero-Trust Data Encryption
Section titled “2. Zero-Trust Data Encryption”Constituent privacy and tenant data isolation are enforced cryptographically:
- Encryption in Transit: All communications between mobile apps, check-in kiosks, staff dashboards, and API gateways enforce TLS 1.3 encryption.
- Encryption at Rest: Primary database tables, media attachments, and SMS interaction logs are encrypted using enterprise AES-256 standards.
- Client-Side Snapshot Encryption: Automated database backups are asymmetrically encrypted prior to transmission to off-site storage. Backup files cannot be decrypted without strict multi-party authentication keys.
3. Multi-Cloud Redundancy & Ransomware Defense
Section titled “3. Multi-Cloud Redundancy & Ransomware Defense”To safeguard community care organizations against cloud provider disruptions and cybersecurity threats:
- Out-of-Band Geodistribution: Data snapshots are streamed to independent secondary cloud storage providers isolated from primary hosting environments.
- Immutable Storage: Snapshots are written to write-once, tamper-evident storage containers. Past snapshots cannot be overwritten, modified, or deleted by automated runners.
- Automated Retention Cycles: Rolling retention windows maintain daily and weekly point-in-time recovery checkpoints while automatically retiring expired records.
4. Continuous Health Verification
Section titled “4. Continuous Health Verification”The platform maintains continuous automated health oversight:
- Deep Canary Health Probes: Automated monitors execute end-to-end synthetic transactions around the clock to verify database query health, cache synchronization, and carrier connectivity.
- Automated Alerts: Platform operations teams receive instant notifications upon detecting latency degradation or anomaly thresholds, initiating automated failover sequences before service disruption impacts end users.
